Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA), 53-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Shady Side Academy upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to play the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout on Monday, February 5. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 4-15. Deer Lakes lost 45-34 in their recent league bout against Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA)

Next up, the Bucs play the Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Burrell will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 42-25 league loss to Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA).
