The Calumet Copper Kings basketball team scored 31 points and held the host Hancock Bulldogs to 23 in the Copper Kings league triumph on Monday.

The Copper Kings now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chassell for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 1. Calumet will meet a Panthers team coming off a 59-18 league win over L'Anse (L'Anse, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 3-9.

The Bulldogs (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI). The Lakes enter the non-league contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Lake Linden-Hubbell was outscored by Baraga (Baraga, MI), 49-37, in a league contest.
