Fairland Dragons (Proctorville, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chesapeake Panthers (Chesapeake, OH), 76-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fairland upgrades its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH) to play the Hornets in a Ohio Valley bout on Thursday, February 1. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Dawson-Bryant won 46-29 in their recent league bout against Rock Hill (Ironton, OH)

Next up, the Panthers play the Tolsia Rebels (Fort Gay, WV) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Chesapeake will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 48-46 league win over Tug Valley (Williamson, WV).
