Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA), 48-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Prairie City-Monroe upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Jefferson-Scranton (Jefferson, IA) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Rams play the West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA) in a Heart of Iowa bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Greene County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-16 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 63-54 league loss to Roland-Story (Story City, IA).
