The Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), 36-33 in Monday's non-league test.
The Lakers (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Forest Hills (Jackman, ME). The Tigers go into the D South test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Forest Hills got by Wiscasset (Wiscasset, ME), 34-9, in a league test.
The Pirates now sport a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dexter for a C North contest on Wednesday, January 31. Piscataquis will battle a Tigers team coming off a 53-12 non-league win over Stearns (Millinocket, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 13-1.
