The Waterloo West Wahawks basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Iowa City Little Hawks to 49 in the Wahawks league triumph on Monday.
The Wahawks now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kennedy for a Mississippi Valley contest on Tuesday, January 30. Waterloo West will meet a Cougars team coming off a 51-42 league loss to Wahlert (Dubuque, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 6-12.
The Little Hawks (6-18) will now prepare for their contest against Hempstead (Dubuque, IA). The Mustangs enter the Mississippi Valley contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Hempstead was nudged by Western Dubuque (Epworth, IA), 49-38, in a league contest.
