The Golden Eagles now possess a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paintsville for a District 57 battle on Friday, February 2. Johnson Central will battle a Tigers team coming off a 60-52 non-league win over Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 10-9.

The Cardinals (15-7) will now prepare for their battle against Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Hornets come into the District 57 battle with a 1-18 record. In their last battle, Magoffin County was nudged by East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY), 49-48, in a non-league battle.
