Kearsarge Cougars (North Sutton, NH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Winnisquam Bears (Tilton, NH), 58-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kearsarge upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Gilford (Gilford, NH) to play the Golden Eagles in a Division III bout on Thursday, February 1. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 12-4. Gilford won 53-45 in their recent league bout against Prospect Mountain (Alton, NH)

Next up, the Bears play the Fall Mountain Wildcats (Langdon, NH) in a Division III bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Winnisquam will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 47-25 league loss to Mascoma (Canaan, NH).
