Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting McLaurin Tigers (Florence, MS), 57-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Kemper County upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Noxubee County (Macon, MS) to clash with the Tigers in a 3A Region 5 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-12. Noxubee County won 49-48 in their recent league bout against Enterprise (Enterprise, MS)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers (Meridian, MS) in a 3A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. McLaurin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-19 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 9-13 record after their 41-39 league win over Noxubee County (Macon, MS).
