The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars basketball team (Salem, SD), was overwhelmed 60-31 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD)
The Cossacks now possess a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Flandreau for a A Region 2 contest on Friday, February 2. Sioux Valley will battle a Fliers team coming off a 55-29 non-league win over Sioux Valley (Volga, SD). The Fliers record now stands at 13-0.
The Fighting Cougars (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Parkston (Parkston, SD). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Parkston was routed by Arlington (Arlington, SD), 62-56, in a non-league contest.
