Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers (Newfield, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Millville Thunderbolts (Millville, NJ), 65-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Our Lady of Mercy Academy upgrades its record to 18-1 on the season. The Villagers travel to Hammonton (Hammonton, NJ) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 9-6.

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Cedar Creek Pirates (Egg Harbor City, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Millville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 53-36 non-league loss to Atlantic County Institute of Tech (Mays Landing, NJ).
