The Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) basketball crushed the visiting West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA), 56-29 in Monday's league test.
The Spartans (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Penn-Trafford walloped Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA), 65-39, in a league test.
The Indians now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they host Trinity for a WPIAL 5A 4 test on Thursday, February 1. West Allegheny will encounter a Hillers squad coming off a 42-35 league win over Moon Area (Moon Township, PA). The Hillers record now stands at 13-5.
