The Northern Huskies basketball team (Accident, MD), was overwhelmed 54-12 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD)

The Miners now possess a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chestnut Ridge for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 31. Mountain Ridge will battle a Lions team coming off a 43-24 league win over Somerset (Somerset, PA). The Lions record now stands at 9-9.

The Huskies (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hancock (Hancock, MD). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Hancock was overwhelmed by Forbes Road (Waterfall, PA), 44-15, in a non-league battle.
