Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders (Palmyra, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wayne Eagles (Ontario Center, NY), 51-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Palmyra-Macedon upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Red Raiders travel to Greece Athena (Rochester, NY) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Greece Athena won 60-42 in their recent non-league bout against Batavia (Batavia, NY)

Next up, the Eagles play the Waterloo Tigers (Waterloo, NY) in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 74-50 league win over Midlakes (Clifton Springs, NY).
