The Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) basketball felled the visiting Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), 43-24 in Monday's league test.
The Blue Devils (18-4) will now prepare for their test against Clifton Central (Clifton, IL). The Comets go into the non-league test with a 12-13 record. In their last test, Clifton Central was beaten by Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL), 58-45, in a league test.
The Comets now own a 13-13 record. They play next when they travel to Coal City for a Illinois Central 8 test on Thursday, February 1. Reed-Custer will encounter a Coalers squad coming off a 49-33 league win over Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 19-3.
