In Monday's league outing, the Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV) basketball squad beat the host Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV), by a count of 47-35.
The Bulldogs (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV). The Serpents go into the 1A West outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, Mineral County was topped by Coleville (Coleville, CA), 67-23, in a league outing.
The Scorpions now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Virginia City for a 1A West outing on Tuesday, January 30. Sage Ridge will clash with a Muckers squad coming off a 48-13 league win over Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage (Yerington, NV). The Muckers record now stands at 5-18.
