Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA), 50-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chatham upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to William Campbell (Naruna, VA) to clash with the Generals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 1-6. William Campbell lost 76-26 in their recent non-league bout against Dan River (Ringgold, VA)

Next up, the Bengals clash with the Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Bassett will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 56-52 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
