Texas High School Basketball - Alief Hastings can't hold off Alief Taylor

Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX), 44-39 in a league match.

With the victory, Alief Taylor advances its record to 10-17 on the year. The Lions host Foster (Richmond, TX) to face the Falcons in a 6A Region III District 20 match on Saturday, February 1. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 14-11. Foster won 58-49 in their recent league match against Fulshear (Fulshear, TX)

The Bears now own a 3-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foster for a 6A Region III District 20 match on Wednesday, February 5.
