The Alleghany Cougars were victorious over the host James River Knights basketball squad by a final score of 43-26 in Wednesday's league outing.
Next, the Cougars face the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a Three Rivers outing, on Friday, January 31. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the outing with a 7-9 record after their 75-44 league win over Patrick County (Stuart, VA).
The Knights (6-12) will now prepare for their outing against Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Cavaliers enter the Three Rivers outing with a 16-1 record. In their last outing, Carroll County was defeated by Glenvar (Salem, VA), 63-60, in a league outing.
