North Carolina High School Basketball - Asheville gets by Enka

Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Enka Jets (Enka, NC), 80-76 in a league match.

With the victory, Asheville upgrades its record to 4-15 on the year. The Cougars travel to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC) to face the Rockets in a 3A/4A Mountain match on Friday, January 31. The Rockets enter the match with a record of 12-7. A.C. Reynolds won 92-58 in their recent non-league match against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC)

The Jets now sport a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host T.C. Roberson for a 3A/4A Mountain match on Friday, January 31. Enka will face a Rams squad coming off a 72-61 league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 8-11.
