Maine High School Basketball - Penquis Valley victorious over Central

In Wednesday's league contest, the host Penquis Valley Patriots basketball team scored a good 55-42 triumph over the Central Red Devils.
The Patriots (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Stearns (Millinocket, ME). The Minutemen go into the non-league contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Stearns was topped by Piscataquis (Guilford, ME), 57-54, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Central will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Ponies go into the contest with a 7-8 record after their 49-44 league loss to Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME).
