Louisiana High School Basketball - Covington can't hold off Hammond

The Hammond Tornadoes nipped the host Covington Lions basketball squad by a final score of 64-61 in Wednesday's league outing.

Next, the Tornadoes face the Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA) in a 5A District 6 outing, on Friday, January 31. Hammond will attempt to upgrade on its 16-6 season record.

The Lions (18-11) will now prepare for their outing against St. Paul's (Covington, LA). The Wolves enter the 5A District 6 outing with a 13-10 record. In their last outing, St. Paul's got by Mandeville (Mandeville, LA), 61-37, in a league outing.
