California High School Basketball - Montgomery triumphant over Mater Dei Catholic

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Montgomery Aztecs (San Diego, CA) and the host Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA), observed Montgomery's basketball team overwhelm Mater Dei Catholic by a score of 69-32.

The Aztecs (21-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA). The Titans come into the Mesa challenge with a 9-13 record. In their last challenge, Eastlake was routed by San Diego (San Diego, CA), 57-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Crusaders encounter the Olympian Eagles (Chula Vista, CA) in a Mesa challenge, on Friday, January 31. Mater Dei Catholic will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 18-2 record after their 57-55 league win over Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA).
