Monterey Dores (Monterey, CA) fans went home pleased Wednesday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the visiting Salinas Cowboys (Salinas, CA), 87-21 in a league challenge.

The Dores (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Alisal (Salinas, CA). The Trojans come into the PCAL - Gabilan challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Alisal was routed by Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA), 60-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cowboys encounter the Oakwood Hawks (Morgan Hill, CA) in a PCAL - Gabilan challenge, on Friday, January 31. Salinas will attempt to improve on its 3-16 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 66-51 league win over Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA).
