The North Duplin Rebels basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Union Spartans to 51 in the Rebels league triumph on Wednesday.

The Rebels now have a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Neuse Charter for a 1A Carolina game on Friday, January 31. North Duplin will confront a Cougars team coming off a 39-38 league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, Union falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Spartans host Lakewood (Roseboro, NC) to confront the Leopards in a 1A Carolina game on Friday, January 31. The Leopards go into the game with a record of 13-1. Lakewood won 59-41 in their recent league game against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC)
