In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Welsh Greyhounds basketball team scored a good 55-40 triumph over the Oberlin Tigers.

The Greyhounds (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Midland (Midland, LA). The Rebels go into the 2A District 6 contest with a 15-12 record. In their last contest, Midland was toppled by Lacassine (Lacassine, LA), 81-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA) in a 1A District 4 contest, on Thursday, January 30. Oberlin will attempt to better on its 1-24 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 5-18 record after their 0-0 league Elton (Elton, LA).
