North Carolina High School Basketball - Crest holds off Burns

The Crest Chargers basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Burns Bulldogs to 45 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Chargers now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Huss for a 3A Big South game on Friday, January 31. Crest will confront a Huskies team coming off a 75-29 league win over North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 13-4.
With the loss, Burns falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to confront the Ironmen in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont game on Tuesday, February 4. The Ironmen go into the game with a record of 9-11. Cherryville lost 54-37 in their recent league game against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)
