The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) and the visiting Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC), observed Northeastern's basketball team overwhelm Camden County by a score of 48-16.

The Eagles (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Bears come into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Hertford County was routed by Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC), 46-45, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bruins encounter the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal challenge, on Friday, January 31. Camden County will attempt to improve on its 1-14 season record. The Nighthawks come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 58-53 league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).
