Georgia High School Basketball - LaGrange trounced by Fayette County

January 29, 2025: LaGrange, GA 30240

Fayette County Tigers (Fayetteville, GA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host LaGrange Grangers (LaGrange, GA), 50-14 in a league match.

With the victory, Fayette County advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA) to face the Patriots in a AAA Region 2 match on Saturday, February 1. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 17-4. Sandy Creek won 74-28 in their recent league match against Spalding (Griffin, GA)

The Grangers now own a 5-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Upson-Lee for a AAA Region 2 match on Friday, January 31. LaGrange will face a Knights squad coming off a 51-43 league win over Troup County (LaGrange, GA). The Knights record now stands at 7-10.
