North Carolina High School Basketball - Jackson Day can't get by Queen's Grant

The Jackson Day Mariners basketball squad (Charlotte, NC), was nudged 44-40 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC)

With the victory, Queen's Grant advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Stallions travel to Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Wildcats in a 1A Metro 8 battle on Friday, January 31. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 7-11. Sugar Creek Charter lost 50-24 in their recent league battle against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC)

The Mariners now own a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piedmont Community Charter for a 1A Metro 8 battle on Tuesday, February 4. Jackson Day will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 50-25 league win over Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 13-6.
