In Wednesday's league contest, the host Thomas Stone Cougars basketball team scored a big 59-26 triumph over the Lackey Chargers.

The Cougars (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Northern (Owings, MD). The Patriots go into the Southern Maryland contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Northern smashed Westlake (Waldorf, MD), 57-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chargers confront the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Friday, January 31. Lackey will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Braves go into the contest with a 7-8 record after their 64-36 league loss to North Point (Waldorf, MD).
