Illinois High School Basketball - Sparta can't hold off Trico

The Trico Pioneers nipped the host Sparta Bulldogs basketball squad by a final score of 42-39 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Pioneers face the Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, January 30. Trico will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Redskins enter the outing with a 12-4 record after their 52-42 non-league loss to Christopher (Christopher, IL).

The Bulldogs (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Indians/Lady Indians enter the Cahokia - Illinois outing with a 19-5 record. In their last outing, Carlyle got by Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL), 60-51, in a non-league outing.
