California High School Basketball - American holds off Newark Memorial

In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting American Eagles basketball team scored a close 35-31 triumph over the Newark Memorial Cougars.

The Eagles (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against James Logan (Union City, CA). The Colts go into the contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, James Logan was tipped by Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA), 58-24, in a league contest.
