The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) and the visiting Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), observed Appomattox County's basketball team knock off Buckingham by a score of 49-34.

The Raiders (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels come into the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Altavista prevailed over William Campbell (Naruna, VA), 44-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Buckingham will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Dukes come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 49-45 non-league loss to Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA).
