The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Live Oak Acorns (Morgan Hill, CA) and the host Mt. Pleasant Cardinals (San Jose, CA), observed Live Oak's basketball team overwhelm Mt. Pleasant by a score of 53-27.

The Acorns (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Gilroy (Gilroy, CA). The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 1-16 record. In their last challenge, Gilroy was routed by Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA), 61-18, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Ann Sobrato Bulldogs (Morgan Hill, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 31. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 62-35 league win over Oak Grove (San Jose, CA).
