California High School Basketball - Santa Clara holds off Lynbrook

January 29, 2025: Santa Clara, CA 95051

The Santa Clara Bruins basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Lynbrook Vikings to 52 in the Bruins league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bruins now have a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Monta Vista for a game on Friday, January 31. Santa Clara will confront a Matadors team coming off a 40-34 league win over Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Lynbrook falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Vikings host Saratoga (Saratoga, CA) to confront the Falcons in a game on Friday, January 31. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 9-8. Saratoga won 50-27 in their recent league game against Cupertino (Cupertino, CA)
