In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Romeo Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 34-28 triumph over the Utica Chieftains.

The Bulldogs (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI). The Titans go into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Sterling Heights Stevenson nipped Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI), 54-43, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Chieftains battle the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders (Macomb, MI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Utica will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record.
