Ider Hornets (Ider, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Susan Moore Bulldogs (Blountsville, AL), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ider upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Hornets host Pisgah (Pisgah, AL) to play the Eagles in a 2A Area 15 bout on Friday, January 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Pisgah lost 85-59 in their recent non-league bout against Plainview (Rainsville, AL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Skyline Vikings (Scottsboro, AL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 4. Susan Moore will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 10-4 record after their 64-56 non-league loss to Fairview (Cullman, AL).
