In Tuesday's league match, the host Ardrey Kell Knights basketball team scored a good 59-49 triumph over the South Mecklenburg Sabres.

In their next game, the Knights face the Harding University Rams (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Conference 49 match, on Friday, January 6. Ardrey Kell will attempt to move on its 7-8 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 6-8 record after their 54-49 non-league win over Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC).

With the defeat, South Mecklenburg moves to 4-9 on the year. The Sabres travel to Olympic (Charlotte, NC) to face the Trojans in a 4A Conference 49 match on Friday, January 6.
