Patrick Henry Patriots (Ashland, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Armstrong Wildcats (Richmond, VA), 61-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Patrick Henry upgrades its record to 1-6 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA) to play the Mustangs in a Capital bout on Friday, January 6. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Mechanicsville lost 67-63 in their recent non-league bout against Essex (Tappahannock, VA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Henrico Warriors (Richmond, VA) in a Capital bout, on Friday, January 6. Armstrong will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 72-42 league win over Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA).
