North Carolina High School Basketball - South Brunswick topped by Ashley

January 3, 2023: Wilmington, NC 28412

The Ashley Screaming Eagle basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting South Brunswick Cougars to 37 in the Screaming Eagle league victory on Tuesday.

The Screaming Eagle now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoggard for a 3A/4A Conference 20 bout on Friday, January 6. Ashley will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 65-50 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 10-4.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 20 bout, on Friday, January 6. South Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 45-37 league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC).
