    The Ballard Bombers basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting North Polk Comets to 53 in the Bombers league victory on Tuesday.

    The Bombers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winterset for a Raccoon River contest on Tuesday, January 10.

    The Comets (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA). The Bluejays come into the Raccoon River contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Bondurant-Farrar edged Gilbert (Gilbert, IA), 68-52, in a league contest.
