Louisiana High School Basketball - Belaire ripped by St. Amant

The St. Amant Gators basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Belaire Bengals to 36 in the Gators non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Gators now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Ascension for a 5A District 5 contest on Friday, January 6. St. Amant will battle a Spartans team coming off a 56-49 non-league loss to University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 8-6.
The Bengals (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Glen Oaks (Baton Rouge, LA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Glen Oaks was routed by Capitol (Baton Rouge, LA), 49-42, in a non-league contest.
