The Vashon Island Pirates (Vashon Island, WA) basketball nipped the host Bellevue Christian Vikings (Clyde Hill, WA), 54-47 in Tuesday's league test.

The Pirates (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Klahowya (Silverdale, WA). The Eagles go into the 1A Nisqually test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Klahowya got by Cascade Christian (Puyallup, WA), 59-51, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Chimacum for a 1A Nisqually test on Thursday, January 5. Bellevue Christian will encounter a Cowboys squad coming off a 56-49 non-league win over South Whidbey (Langley, WA). The Cowboys record now stands at 3-4.
