Bishop Guertin Cardinals (Nashua, NH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Nashua South Purple Panthers (Nashua, NH), 70-66 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop Guertin upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Pinkerton (Derry, NH) to play the Astros in a Division I bout on Friday, January 6. The Astros come into the bout with a record of 8-0. Pinkerton won 80-56 in their recent league bout against Spaulding (Rochester, NH)

Next up, the Purple Panthers play the Trinity Pioneers (Manchester, NH) in a Division I bout, on Friday, January 6. Nashua South will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
