California High School Basketball - Canyon nudges Castaic

January 3, 2023: Canyon Country, CA 91351

Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Castaic Coyotes (Castaic, CA), 57-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Canyon upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Hart (Newhall, CA) to clash with the Indians in a Foothill bout on Friday, January 6. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Hart lost 74-41 in their recent league bout against West Ranch (Valencia, CA)

Next up, the Coyotes clash with the Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) in a Foothill bout, on Friday, January 6. Castaic will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Centurions go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 63-46 non-league loss to San Diego (San Diego, CA).
