Capitol Lions (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Glen Oaks Panthers (Baton Rouge, LA), 49-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Capitol upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Lions host Central (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Central won 71-54 in their recent non-league bout against Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Belaire Bengals (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Glen Oaks will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Bengals go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 73-36 non-league loss to St. Amant (St. Amant, LA).
