Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Catholic - N.I. Panthers (New Iberia, LA) and the host Delcambre Panthers (Delcambre, LA), saw Catholic - N.I.'s basketball squad hold off Delcambre by a tally of 45-40.
With the victory, Catholic - N.I. improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host West St. Mary (Baldwin, LA) to confront the Wolfpack in a 2A District 8 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. West St. Mary lost 54-33 in their recent league challenge against Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Loreauville Tigers (Loreauville, LA) in a 2A District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Delcambre will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record.
