North Carolina High School Basketball - Orange tops Cedar Ridge

January 3, 2023: Hillsborough, NC 27278

Orange Panthers (Hillsborough, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves (Hillsborough, NC), 57-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Orange upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Person (Roxboro, NC) to play the Rockets in a 3A Conference 25 bout on Friday, January 6. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Person lost 77-45 in their recent league bout against Northwood (Pittsboro, NC)

Next up, the Fighting Red Wolves play the Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, January 5. Cedar Ridge will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Patriots enter the game with a 9-6 record after their 65-34 non-league loss to North Johnston (Kenly, NC).
