In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Gate City Blue Devils basketball team scored a tight 72-66 triumph over the Central Wise Warriors.
In their next game, the Blue Devils meet the Daniel Boone Trailblazers (Gray, TN) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, January 4. Gate City will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Trailblazers enter the match with a 4-8 record after their 53-51 non-league loss to Floyd Central (Eastern, KY).
With the defeat, Central Wise moves to 5-3 on the year. The Warriors host John Battle (Bristol, VA) to meet the Trojans in a Mountain match on Tuesday, January 17. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 6-4.
